Southern California is well known for its beaches, and there are many possibilities for travelers looking for time on the sand. The following are just a few of the top beaches in Southern California:

-Coronado Beach. Great for children, dogs, and couples, Coronado Beach is located in San Diego County. The Coronado Dog Beach takes up the north end of the shoreline, and the rest of the beach is great for body surfers and swimmers. Visitors can also enjoy the nearby restaurants, shops, and the Hotel Del Coronado when they want a break from the water.

-El Matador Beach. One of Malibu’s most visually appealing beaches, El Matador Beach offers activities beyond spending time by the ocean. Visitors to El Matador often bring picnics for lunches and dinners on the sand. Additionally, there are several hidden coves within the nearby cliffs that visitors can explore.

-Salt Creek Beach. Located in Orange County, Salt Creek Beach is a popular spot among locals. It is great for picnics, surfing, and swimming, and lifeguards are always present in case there is an emergency. The south end of Salt Creek Beach houses tide pools during low tides, and visitors can easily walk over the Dana Strand Beach.
